General Laborer - Sheet Metal Fabrication

Pay: $17.50–$20.00 per hour

​Position Overview

​Northport Marine is seeking an Upholstery Associate to cover aluminum and wood components with carpet and vinyl using adhesives and fastening tools. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply glue and adhere carpet and vinyl to metal and wood components
  • Trim materials using scissors and utility knives
  • Use pneumatic stapling tools to secure materials
  • Move parts weighing 2–50 pounds between workstations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday

​Work Environment

  • Physically active position involving standing, bending, lifting, and movement
  • Exposure to manufacturing noise, dust, and fumes
  • Work areas may not be climate controlled
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear
