Welder - Aluminum

Position Summary:

Welder is responsible for performing quality welds while following all safety protocols.  Ability to train on various tasks within the Welding Department.

​Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all aspects of job in a safe and quality conscious manner
  • Operate welding equipment according to job guidelines
  • Performs basic weld inspection and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Ability to operate air tools such as screw guns, drills, sanders, and grinders
  • Ability to operate chop saws and band saws
  • Knowledge of fabrication parts
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments as needed
  • Report supply needs, equipment breakdowns, shortages and poor-quality materials to supervisor or lead
  • Must have flexibility in daily schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experienced and proficient GMAW/GTAW Welder with 1-3 years welding experience
  • Aluminum GMAW & GTAW experience preferred
  • Vocational training and/or welding certificate preferred
  • Detailed orientated with good organizational skills.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance so we can meet our customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Possess a positive work attitude, willingness to learn all departmental job functions, and adhere to safety and quality requirements.
  • Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending.
